We want to be specific, because most privacy policies are vague on this point. This site embeds no advertising or social media tracking pixels, runs no ad-network or remarketing code, does not sell or share personal information, and sets no advertising cookies.

We do measure how the site is used, which is described under Analytics below.

The contact form on this site submits through a third-party service that filters it for spam and abuse and forwards it to us. The form is the only way to contact us through this site; we publish no email addresses.

When you contact us through the form, we receive your name, your email address and whatever you tell us. We use it to reply and to keep a record of the correspondence.

We use Google Analytics to see how this site is used — which pages are read, and roughly where visitors arrive from. It sets cookies. It is not used for advertising, and not to identify you.

Google processes this information as described in Google’s privacy policy. You can block or delete analytics cookies in your browser; the site works without them.

Like effectively every website, our hosting provider records standard technical request data — IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser user agent — to serve pages, and to detect and investigate faults and abuse.

We handle the above to respond to inquiries you initiate, to operate and secure the site, to measure and improve how the site is used, and to meet our record-keeping and regulatory obligations. We do not use it for automated decision-making.

We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only to the service providers described above — our hosting provider, our email provider, the form-processing service that carries contact-form submissions, the analytics service that measures how the site is used, and the bot-detection service that protects the form, acting on our instructions; to our professional advisers where they need it; to regulators, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, or to law enforcement where we are legally required to; and to a successor in the event of a merger or acquisition.

We keep correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your inquiry and to satisfy our legal and regulatory record-keeping obligations.

Where a privacy law applies to us and gives you these rights, you may be able to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how we use it, and not to be discriminated against for asking. Submit a request through our contact form and we will respond within the time the applicable law allows. Whether or not any law requires it, we will tell you what correspondence of yours we hold, and will delete it on request unless we are required to keep it.

We are not currently a “business” subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act, because we do not meet any of its revenue or data-volume thresholds. This site is directed to users in the United States and is not offered to individuals in the European Union or the United Kingdom, so we do not consider the EU or UK GDPR to apply to it. We will update this policy if either changes.

California law requires the disclosures below from any commercial website that collects personal information from California residents, regardless of the operator’s size or revenue. We make them whether or not the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to us.

Do Not Track. Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common industry standard for interpreting these signals, and we do not respond to them. We use analytics cookies to measure use of this site, as described above. We do not track you across other websites.

Third-party tracking. Apart from the analytics described above, we do not allow any third party to collect personally identifiable information about your activities on other websites when you use this site.

Reviewing and changing your information. We do not operate accounts or maintain visitor profiles, so there is nothing for you to log in and review. If you have written to us and want to know what we hold, or want it corrected or deleted, please use our contact form.

Shine the Light. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for those third parties’ own direct marketing purposes.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information in our care. However, please do not send us sensitive personal or financial details via this website.

This site is intended for institutional and professional audiences. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
